Munster Technological University (MTU) is an Irish multi-campus technological university, with 6 campuses across the South-West region in Cork and Kerry. The Nimbus Research Centre was established in 2009 and has a staff of approximately 45 researchers, engineers and postgraduate students. The centre works with a network of over 200 companies in Ireland and Europe, completing an average of 60 projects per year. The Nimbus Centre is driven by challenge-based research and follows a multi-disciplinary approach within the domains of the Internet of Things and Cyber-Physical Systems. PROFEN, focusing on the needs of its customers operating in the private, public, and defence industries, is constantly expanding its R&D fields to provide cost-effective innovative products and solutions to meet these increasing and complex requirements. PROFEN’s R&D team, being specialised in analysis, design, systems engineering, project management, prototype and product development conducts multidisciplinary product-oriented projects. As of January 2024, 78 full-time staff, who have the ability to research, design, model, develop and test the products, are working in the R&D Center. There are two ateliers for prototyping and one R&D laboratory including test equipment to carry out 15 R&D projects.

University of Ljubljana is the oldest, largest, and internationally best-ranked university in Slovenia. The university was founded in 1919 and encompasses 23 faculties, 3 art academies, and 3 associated members. UL creates almost half of the research results of Slovenia. The work within the CREDIT project will be performed at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering (UL FS). Scientific research work at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering is carried out in the fields of power and process engineering, design, mechanics and maintenance of machines, production engineering, mechatronics, micromechanic systems and automatisation. At UL FS, CREDIT project activities are carried out in the Laboratory for Dynamics of Machines and Structures (LADISK).
The Technische Universität Chemnitz (TUC) has more than 180 years of experience in technical education. The Institute for Machine Tools and Production Processes (IWP) consists of six professorships with over 200 researchers, and technical and administrative employees. The research focuses on machine tools, forming technologies, virtual product development, micro-manufacturing, adaptronics and lightweight design in production. The Division Process Informatics and Virtual Product Development with its Virtual Reality Centre Production Engineering (VRCP) laboratory has 20 years of research experience in the field of virtual technologies for production engineering. The VRCP is an interdisciplinary platform for research, development and application of VR/AR technologies, focusing on machine simulation, mechanical engineering and production technology.
